1909 – reading through the wires
I like the way Tom Chick writes & enjoy my daily dose of Fidgit reading. In this recent post, he gives some strength to the notion that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is not a very good game.
I came away from playing the demo with very little excitement & it had occurred to me that if the storyline turned out to be weak then this would probably kill the whole experience for me. Funny thing is, Tom surmises that the writing is good in the game but the rest, the gameplay etc, is sloppy/underdone – I’m unlikely to look or give time over to Star Wars:The Force Unleashed, anytime soon.
There’s been a fair bit of discussion over the whole DRM/Spore issue. I bored of hearing about it fairly quickly which is not to say that the topic of DRM isn’t an important one but is it really something gamers should ever have to deal with. I did love reading this post on TorrentFreak & the title speaks volumes – I just wonder if EA are listening though?
As a gaming experience, Spore does seem to be dividing opinion – I have yet to play it.
